HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

PART 1

GOD FORBID

Byron Davis - Vocalist

Most Memorable Halloween

My Halloween story is... When I was 15yrs old. It was me, my drummer - Corey, one of our friends Corey, and this other cat; we were going Trick or Treating. These dudes actually ended up beating down our friend and took his candy. So, he got jacked on his candy for Halloween that year. Then, about 5-6 years later, I ended up meeting this guy who I ended up becoming close friends with, and as it turned out, he was the dude who stolen my friend's candy. So, we had a laugh about it, but at the time, it wasn't funny. It was pretty fucked up, but I still had my candy though.

This one time, we played this festival on Halloween, there were these people were walking around in giant puppet heads (see photo) and shit. So I decide to steal one of them out of the tent. I put it on, run around. A bunch of people start beating up the head. Everyone was going crazy and next thing I know everyone was getting arrested. So, we had to get everyone out of jail and we miss the next days show. That was memorable. Mask

Ralph - Last Call

The Scariest Halloween I've had, I would have to say, I went to see The Misfits with Type O Negative on Hallows-eve, the night before Halloween, and I spilt wine all over Peter Steele (singer of Type O Negative) and I thought he was going to kill me! And that's it.

SHADOWS FALL

Matt Bachand - Guitarist

Matt Bachand

My most rememorable Halloween memory would have to be when we played in North Hampton, MA with Hatebreed about 7 years ago, and some poor kid in the crowd got his ear ripped off the side of his head during the show. Security had to run and pick it up off the ground, put it on ice and bring him to the hospital so they could sew it back on.

One Halloween, in 1995 or something, involves this band I was in before Dope, Double Odd Spool; we were a Beastie Boys fun tribute band. We dressed up on Halloween as the Beastie Boys from the Sabotage video as these 70's cops. We had on exactly what they had on in the video and we had the car with the CB antenna... We rolled downtown where there was 1,000's of people. As we rolled up in the car, we got out of the car and started running along side of the car with CB radios, like in the video, and were running through the crowd, doing our thing. Well, there was this Halloween costume contest going on, and we didn't know it was going on nor did we have any intensions of doing anything; we were just running around like idiots. The crowd told us that we had to go up there and pushed us up there, with our fake guns doing our thing, and we ended up winning first prize which was a corner bar tab. It was totally unintentional, but we had a real fun night.

30 SECONDS TO MARS

Shannon Leto - Drums

Most Memorable Halloween
Shannon

My most memorable Halloween was when I was in the sixth grade. You know those Glow Sticks; well, I decided that I wanted to be a mad scientist and broke open like 25-30 of them and put them all over my body. I was wearing one of those hospital doctor suits with the green pants and shirts, and poured the glow stick all over that. It got all over my hands and face; it worked, I was glowing! My hair was all spiked up. So there was this girl that I liked, and that night was the night that my best friend was going to introduce me to her. He ended up hooking up with her that night. But that's ok 'cause later on, I was sleeping over at his house, and I snuck out and went over to her house and we ended up dating.

Safety Note: The activated liquid even though non-toxic may contain tiny shards of glass which may cause injury should the light stick be punctured or split open. The liquid can cause skin or eye irritation. F&Q about Glow Sticks: at this location

THROWRAG

Captain Sean-Doe - Vocalist

Most Memorable Halloween
Captain Sean-Doe

This was 1986. I was shooting speed for the better part of that year. There was a batch of green speed that was going around that they called "Kryptonite." It was supposedly stolen and wasn't supposed to be on the streets yet as it was said to be a secret Nazi recipe, and it got loose on the world, right? It was suppose to be tight on the lungs, where it would be tough to breathe, but you would be up for days. These 3 guys claimed that they stolen the speed; I thought they were full of shit. While they were talking about stealing it, they were talking about how the one guy was in tuned with his supernatural, sixth sense, or whatever, and how his mom was a voodoo priestess and his dad was a Baptist minister. He was taken away from his mom as a baby because supposedly they knew that he would have special powers, and they gave him to his father. He was telling me how he was in the basement with these "Satanist," although he wasn't Satanic, but he was using his telepathy to choke out the Satanist. And when he was saying this, he said that there was only one picture. And I said what? And he said, yeah, there was just one picture, that was it. And I said what are you talking about? And he said yeah, that's it. I was still confused and when I turned, I saw my hands up like Jesus picture that is the peace symbol (also like Baphomet). I was like OH MY GOD! Then, these people that were also in the house had all these weird knives on the wall n' stuff. And they had this human hand in this black box that was suppose to be a "satanic good luck charm," not so lucky for the guy who lost his hand. And that was one of the most scariest Halloween's that I had.
